MariaDB is RDBMS (Sistem Manajemen Database Relasional) growing by developers community that had made a lot of contributions in MySql database.

MariaDB're still keep holding on their compatibilities and API's just like what they do in MySql before. If there's InnoDB on MySql, then there's a new storage machines called XtraDB on them, besides, there's also Aria that used for database transactions.

MariaDB work on cross-platform, have GPLv2 +LGPL licences, and written on C, C++ and Perl.
